passing the days with music and words

My name is Darin Matthew Hoover. I was born on March 16, 1983 in Bakersfield, California. I'm presently a Programmer Analyst for the City of Bakersfield, but I love to write music and poetry. I'm a Christian, and my hope is in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and promise of salvation through faith in Him.
Wow, I guess I don't really know why I write music. I think it has a lot to do with how I was made. I write music because I feel like I need to. I don't have any specific source of inspiration. I'm generally inspired by my experiences. I'm going to use the music section of this site to post songs I've written or recorded.
I've been writing a lot of poetry lately, but I also write short stories. I've been writing about the Adventures of Steve in my blog. I was going to create a webcomic about Steve with a friend of mine, but that project is presently on hold. I might work on it later, but for now, I'm focusing on poetry, and the story about Steve and Max.
